Let us start with a direct, simple explanation. The Art of Living Light allows the light that resides within yourself to shine.
We spend so much time chasing light, believing it is some great illumination that exists outside ourselves, and we are constantly trying to climb a ladder to reach it. You can see it through healing, through books, religions, worship, and rituals. The truth is, light is also out there, Source, All that is, God… however you see it, but in order to return to this light, we need to live and feed this light within us first.
Guess what? It’s been in you this whole time.
Under your ribs. Between your breaths. Waiting for you to stop trying so hard and just let it glow.
“Living light” isn’t about levitating above your problems or allowing them to turn your light switch off. Yes, “crap” can be tough at times. It does for all of us. It is how we decide to glow through it. It’s about being so fully present in your very human, sometimes-messy life that the light inside you finally gets to do what it came here to do: live.
And honestly? It’s not nearly as dramatic as it sounds. Sometimes it’s just remembering to exhale or forgiving yourself for the stress, tears, or anger when life throws you a curveball.
The Light Within Is Not a Goal β It’s Home
We’ve been trained to think of happiness and spiritual connection like prizes we earn for good behavior, or this big struggle that we need to be “enlightened”. What if they’re just what’s left when we stop running from ourselves, our true selves, and our inner light body that is part of our Source creation?
The light within isn’t a mood or an achievement β it’s your natural state of being.
When you stop outsourcing the idea that perfection is the only way to live in light, you realize happiness has been sitting quietly in the passenger seat the whole time, just waiting for you to notice.

When you live and recognize that inner light, everything gets smoother β not always perfect, but aligned. It brings peace. Your energy begins to align with the Source, rather than fighting against it. That’s what makes ascension less of a mountain climb and more of a gentle rising tide.
Journal Prompt: A Moment You Chose Presence Over Panic
Take a second.
Close your eyes, breathe, and remember a time when you could’ve reacted β snapped, shut down, lashed out β but didn’t.
What shifted in you? What did that moment feel like?
Here’s an example from my own experience that happened just this morning.
A spider decided to walk across my computer screen. My immediate reaction? “Oh, Hell no!” But instead of launching into a full, chaotic, screaming rant, I said, “No, I am going to do something different.” I grabbed a piece of paper towel, let it crawl onto it, and carried it gently outside.
My hands shook, sure β I’m not suddenly the patron saint of spiders β but as I let it go, I felt that small, quiet pride hum in my chest. The kind that says, “See? You can stay soft and still survive.β
That is light! Living light through kind actions. Take the time before reaction to breathe and reassure yourself that you do not need to react to the instinct you have been taught or seen, but to recognize that there is another way.
I am certainly not asking you to make friends with every spider, or every person, or situation that makes you feel uncomfortable. Recognize a way to approach it with light, with kindness, and yes, even in love.

How to Let the Light Inside Your Life
Forget perfection. This isn’t a spiritual boot camp. It’s about giving your inner glow room to breathe in your everyday rhythm.
- Pause before reacting. That half-second of breath changes everything.
- Choose tenderness anyway,Β even when the world feels sharp. Especially then.
- Shift the way you meet the mundane. The things that used to feel like chores β laundry, cleaning the house, washing dishes β can actually become tiny doorways back to calm. You’re not doing them differently; you’re being different while you do them.
- Take care of your body. The light lives in it, not outside it. Feed it, rest it, listen to it. Showering or bathing with the thought that it is not just about cleansing the body, but also about cleansing the mind and removing the day’s stress.
- Let joy in through connection. The laugh that sneaks up when you’re with someone you love is pure light medicine. Don’t underestimate the healing power that lives in those moments.
- Notice beauty on purpose. The way sunlight cracks through the trees. The sweet, gentle song of the birds. Β These are small reminders that you’re woven into something luminous, and it is all around you.
You don’t have to summon light. You just stop getting in its way.
What Really Gets in the Way of Your Inner Light
So many of us now try to prove we’re enough, as if it’s not okay to feel stressed or anxious, or even have fears. We view enlightenment as some mystical perfection we must be.
The light within doesn’t care about your messiness; it just wants to shine, no matter what kind of clutter we hold.
What really gets in the way isn’t imperfection β it’s the belief that you’re supposed to be someone else before you’re worthy of your own glow.
So stop postponing your light until you “get it all together.” Start letting it show through your cracks. You are a spiritual being, living a human life, and that life is not perfect, but it is an opportunity to see the light within Source self.

A Closing Thought: Happiness Is the Light You Allow
Make a vow right now that you will stop chasing after light.
Take a breath, put a hand on your heart, and say, “I already hold the light within.β
That small, warm buzz you feel? That’s it. That’s the Source light. That’s happiness, trying to live.
You don’t have to go find it in someone else’s story. Just keep letting it breathe through the small, imperfect miracle that is you.
That’s the art of living light.
Simple. Messy. Sacred.
A Few Voices Who Said It Well
“The more light you allow within you, the brighter the world you live in will be.” β Shakti Gawain.
“Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.” β Denis Waitley.
“Call on the light of your inner being and all darkness will disappear.” β Laura Jaworski.
A Simple Affirmation Ritual
To be spoken three times aloud or whispered in stillness
Take a slow breath in. Feel your chest rise and the light expand through you.
As you exhale, let any striving or self-judgment dissolve.
Now, speak this aloud three times β letting each repetition sink a little deeper into your heart:
βI allow the light within me to live.
I let happiness rise from the inside out.
I am safe to shine, exactly as I am.
So it is, So it is, So it isβ
After the third repetition, place a hand over your heart and one on your belly.
Feel the warmth there β not imagined, but real. That’s your light remembering itself.
Carry it with you into the next breath, the next small act, the next ordinary miracle.
